Perturbingly - Dictionary.com says it's a word.

This post will probably disturb some of you. What can I say? I'm a disturbing person. The sooner you realize that the better off you will be.

Several months ago I was introduced to a youtube video and song that I thought was amusing but forgot about almost instantly. It was catchy but I obviously had other things on my mind at the time. I heard the song in passing a couple times but it wasn't until a couple weeks ago (when a crazy bartender played it for us) that it got stuck in my head. Now it won't leave. I walk around singing this song all day every day.

Catchy isn't it? So of course I had to show Casey the video since I kept saying "It puts the lotion in the basket." It's one thing if I can't stop quoting the movie. It's another when a song gets stuck in your head. Or maybe they are both bad. I don't know. Anyway, he informed me that they made a musical of the movie. It's true. "Silence! The Musical". You can listen to tracks here. It's perturbingly funny!

I think I will enjoy some fava beans and a nice Chianti this evening.

I don't eat liver.
It's a nice little remix of the movie, I think. Makes me a little ill to watch.

The movie was enough, why would they make it into a musical?

Reb- For shock value? If you listen to the sound clips on the website you will discover just how f'd up the whole thing really is. I was told it was supposed to be serious but I thought it sounded more like a so bad it's good situation.

I love me some SOTL. Creeps me out in a way few others have. I didn't need this song running through my head though!

I'm having a friend for dinner.

*shudder*

ROTF! My gawd, that is hilarious, creepy, catchy, strangely compelling and revolting at the same time. Somebody needs to scrub their tub. eeewwww!

I always thought she'd make a nice jacket! ;)

Michael Knight Rambo- The tuck part never seemed like a big deal me but everyone seems to have a big reaction to it. I do like how the song takes the whole scene and makes it sort of mellow and lethargic. The screams sound like moans.

GMEyster- It messes with your head in a way no other film can.

Technodoll- I'm starting to think we are a lot alike.

Gary Rith- A little? Yeah.

Real Live Lesbian- I twitch at the lyric about making her but cheek a cap.

Ha. I do like that, but c'mon...Whadda ya mean you don't like liver? Mmmmmmmm, liver. Cheers Knight!!

Matt-Man - Liver is too chewy. There are so many other organs to choose from.

It was a good strange movie. I'll probably have a strange night mare tonight due to that.

I'm going to listen to some Jonas Brothers now....I've been there before? But, I still choose to have that stuck in my head...

Happy Wednesday!

Knight said...

Furiousball- Something to share with the kids, right? No?

Farmer*sWife- In all honesty I think the Jonas Brothers are more likely to give me nightmares.

You just brought additional meaning to a song from The "Land Before Time" kidlet videos about dinosaur friends...there's a song with a kiddie T-Rex and his herbivore friends called "Friends for Dinner!"

And why have I never clicked over here before??? Obviously, it has been my loss.
I've seen you at Tink's, Jay's and all the other WWC blogs. (Maybe because you don't post for WWC?)

I have a basket of lotion in my bathroom. It's been there for years and now it is freaking me out.

Bwahahahahahahahahaahahahahaha!

That was priceless!

I just realized my neighbor has the same robe...

If I see a chianti bottle in his recycling bin, I'm moving.

Bwahahahaha. Omg, that is disturbingly funny. Even more so, I just passed this along to my MOM.

Tink... I'm beginning to wonder about you...

That is quite an interesting little ditty. I think I'll have some lamb tomorrow...
