So many other bloggers wrote great tributes to George Carlin today. I don't have the proper words. I wanted to share one of my favorites with anyone who cared to watch.
To read some nice tributes go here:

I don't know why, but I was shocked when I heard this news this morning. It's so sad.
I have never read about him or seen/listened to him.. but may he rest in peace!!!!
I tell you what. I loved George Carlin, whether he was discussing the 7 dirty words you couldn't say on tv, talking about his toenail clippings, or people not owning up to be responsible for themselves. What a talent!
Most of all, I think of my dad watching Carlin on HBO, or listening to him on records when I was but a wee kid. The way Carlin cracked my dad up makes me sad that Carlin's no longer alive.
Life is short. Makes me want to get my ass in gear.
thanks knight! for the video and the link.
I used to go out with a guy (asshat) who said he couldn't get how it was possible to laugh and cry at the same time.
I just did. which made me think of the asshat. which made me think of how George hated asshats and I laughed and cried again.
I was never a fan of GC, but I didn't hate him. I remember him being in the league of Richard Prior as far as language. In his later days he said some funny things I agreed with.
