Cause you're there for me too...

So, no one told you life was gonna be this way....(clap,clap,clap,clap).

And that's about all I remember from this show. Why do I care? Usually I wouldn't but for some crazy reason I agreed to attend F.R.I.E.N.D.S trivia night tonight because the lovely ladies hosting it promised me wine and cheese. I guess if I want to be a girl I have to learn things like this. I doubt my Monty Python trivia and fondue party will ever come to fruition if it's all female.
I've been thinking about the ten years this show was on air and why I can remember certain things from early on but have no idea what happened to the characters by the end of the decade. I figure it must be that when it started in 1994 I was eleven years old and still watching network television while pretending to do my homework. I think it was the next year that my grandmother gave me the ever so popular Rachel haircut. I looked hot. Wait, I was twelve. I guess I looked "cute". Nope, it was hot. Anyway, by the time the final season aired I was turning 21 and had better people er, I mean things.... to do. You know, like drink and go to work. Now I find myself amongst herds of females with a plethora of knowledge about a show that aired for a decade and I can't even remember the names of the main actors. How can I compete?

I guess I'm screwed. Do any of you have any tips for me? What happened to that monkey they used to have? Does Rachel end up with Brad Pitt? Where can I find an apartment like that in Manhattan?

Most important of all, who am I selling my soul to? NBC?

If it helps, I know less of the show than you. (A monkey? Really?) I moved to Germany in January of 1995 and spent 3 years without television reception. I hardly noticed the absence in my life. I would notice the absence of wine & cheese, though. And I like fondue.
Bring on the Monty Python!

Sorry, I can't help you with Friends trivia night. But, when they have Gilmore Girls night let me know!

1)I guess I'd suggest, forget the show, it was only fun while it lasted.
2)I think the monkey had heart failure from bad food on the set and died. Then some idiot spent WAY to much money burying it so it could have a DECENT burial.
3)Yeah, they hooked onto each other, don't they all?
4) No clue other than to sell your soul to the movie industry, they'll find you something.
5)Hopefully, you'll keep it to yourself.

I'm clueless about Friends the TV show. Now I have friends, good friends but talking about them might bore you.

O.M.G. You don't know 'FRIENDS'?? This was one of my all time favorite shows. I finally found a substitute replacement in "How I Met Your Mother" a/k/a HIMYM.

I guess I'll let you off the hook since you were only 11 or 12 when it started. (Ouch! Make me feel old!)

Good luck and drink some wine for meeeeeee!

Chandler, Ross, Joey, Monica, Rachel Phoebe...

Ross & Rachel; Chandler and Monica; I think the monkey got sent back....

There, that should help!

the most vanilla show in history, besides 7th heaven of course. i think i enjoy your blog because you dont know what happened to the monkey (thankfully he ended his second term in office). Brad married Angelina because great minds think alike. If i find that apt in ny, i wont let you know abt it until i rent it.

I would totally attend a fondue/MP party. I'd bring my "best of" MP CD, too. We could listen to everything from 'Henry Kissinger' to 'I Like Chinese.'

Can't help ya with the "Friends" thing. Until last weekend at a party, I had never seen a full episode of the show.

Somebody spanked the monkey, if I remember correctly.

Other than that... you didn't miss much.

Thanks for all of your help friends. I don't remember being too terrible at the game but then again I had a lot of wine and everyone else was stoned.

"Monty Python trivia and fondue party"

I think that's a great idea. And who cares if a lot of ladies show up? You boyfriend would love it. ;)

Umm, I think Brad Pitt ended up with Lara Croft and Rachel ended up with her cats in the end. Am I right?
