New Ink

Tattoo ink that is.

Of course I'm not putting this on me. I'm not an artist and I would never allow something that it took me 8 seconds to draw to become a permanent part of my body.

That being said...

I'm in the market for a simplistic black rose to put on the back of my neck. I have a pretty good idea of what I want to happen and I need someone else to make it come to life for me. Surprisingly enough I don't currently have any friends that are tattoo artists. I need to work on that. So as soon as I get all that figured out I'm getting my rose. Don't worry mom. You'll learn to love it.

Getting new ink always seems to come for me at a time of big change. The significance of the rose will mean more to me personally than I could ever possibly explain here. I know Dana knows what I'm talking about. Perhaps I'll tell you more when I've actually got it on my skin.

There. Now I'm committed.

If any of you have suggestions I'm all ears. Nah, I take that back. Unless you're an amazingly badass artist like BSOB ...don't scare me out of this idea. Mooog, don't bother sending me a drawing of your man bits. I only accept pictures of the real thing. That goes for the rest of you too.

Oh a black rose will be interesting. I hope you find one you like. I can't draw, so will not be flooding your in-box with designs ;)

I had to look up man bits in the Urban dictionary to verify what I already suspected. That lead me to this.

No comment on the tat.

I'm appalled that you think I'd send you drawings OR pictures of my man-bits.

I'm waiting to show you those in person.

It's how I roll. You're welcome.

Well, if you make it to Illinois I know a guy.

Please don't show us Moog's man bits. Even if he shares them.

anytime im kickin around tats i google (which i am sure youve already done). which leads to the next question: what style are you going for: tribal, realistic, simplicity over detailed....

the options are limitless

personally i like something like this:

just scaled down to fit on your neck of course and without the vines

best of luck - its always exciting picking out the next one to go on

I have a fb "friend" who might be able to do this. I'll ask "her".

Thorns too? Maybe a drop of blood!

My artistic ability begins and ends with stick figures.

A black rose? On your neck? Hmmmm... just remember that here in 15 years or so it might spread out a bit.

Maybe you should just get a waterfall on your boob. That way, the older you get, the more impressive the waterfall will be! ;P

Reb- It’s a really popular design but I’m confident I can piece something together unique to me.

Mike- That was disturbing. I read the whole thing. Why did he post so many pictures of his…parts?

Mooooog35- I keep trying to call you as you requested but you never give me your number. You’re a tease.

Gary- ha

Joshua- Where in IL are you? I’m from the Quad Cities.

Jack- Dude, THANK YOU! The second link really helps me with what I wanted for the stems. It’s very close to what I see in my mind. Only a lot less of it.

Jason- Thanks! I’m also kind of tempted to do pieces of it myself and then go to one of William’s people. He has excellent work.

Kev D.- I could easily just steal that. Move a few letters around and my very own Knight erection tat would be the perfect tramp stamp. Thanks.

Micky-T – Of course thorns! What is a rose without it’s thorns?

Kcinnova- Ha! Well, you could get stick figure tats of the whole family!

LL- I’m fairly mindful of getting body art done in places where it wont sag too quickly. The back of my neck better not “spread out” too much. Especially in 15 years when I’m 43! The waterfall idea though, that is brilliant!

You can't tell me something is going on (something apparently deep and important) and then leave me hanging like this.

Okay, you can and you did. But, still. I hope it is all a change for the good; growth toward the positive.

Keep us posted. <3

Moog's always talking about how small his bits are... so like, what are you going to put on 98% of the rest of your neck?

jack mehoff said...

@ mike: moogs' pearl necklace.....of course!
