NYC

New York City is the greatest city in the world. It's a perfect mix of every type of person with contrasting opinions, religions, races, and dreams. You can find anything you want hidden somewhere in this tiny island no matter who you are or how crazy your ideas. There is beauty everywhere in every form and plenty of people to appreciate it. I love this place. When I feel the energy radiating from it I am filled with hope and I see infinite possibilities. This place is a part of me. An extension of myself in some form. I don't know how many people can understand that type of feeling but it is powerful. All I want to do on a day like today, a tragic anniversary, is express my love of this place. I will remember- and move on, because we have to.

Very beautiful.

I bought a really pretty black and white picture of the New York City skyline when I was in town for a wedding a couple of years back, and I love looking at it cause it reminds me of home and great food. ;)

Great post! I'm still sad that there's not a memorial at ground zero yet.

And maybe the city is stronger than ever.

My favorite part of my trip to NYC was going to a comedy club and having Jon Luvitz walk in off the street to do a routine.

And walking into a subway and seeing a bunch of doods playing drums on some overturned buckets and having it sound as professional as if you PAID for a ticket to see people bangin on drums that cost as much as my house.

Awesome city.

What a beautiful post. I believe you have captured the true essents of NYC.

I also love New York City. You either love that city or you hate it, there is no in-between.

You are very fortunate to live in one the most cultured and artistic cities in the world.

I hope, while you are still young that you have the life that I always wanted, I thought I would be a actress by now, not just any actress, but on broadway or in the smaller productions. I believe that is where the TRUE art is at.

So many young, great, talents get looked over in Hollywood and New York, so I hope that one day you will come to this post and tell us that you have a show coming soon and that you have made it!

I wish that for you!

Brilliant post

I live in Melbourne Australia and I feel the same way about my city. But I also know where you are coming from with NYC. I have been there four times and rate it as one of the best cities in the world. And by best I mean I have two favourite cities; Melbourne and New York.

Found you through Cat and will be returning.
