A Bottle of Wine and Biding My Time

I've got nothing going on. I'm sitting here in my apartment after spending the day cleaning and doing laundry. I'm applying for jobs but have not really seen anything that seemed fitting or appropriate for my skill set. It worries me.

I opened a bottle of wine that my mother sent me. It's Educated Guess which is a Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. It's delicious (Thanks Mom!). I should really walk over to the cubbord and get a wine glass. I have some gorgeous red wine glasses that I adore (Thanks Case) and an AMAZING wine opener that makes uncorking a bottle as easy as removing a beer cap. (Thanks BabaHot).

I've been spending the last week reconnecting with friends that I haven't had the time to see as much over the last six months or so. I think seeing them is the only thing keeping me sane. I spent last night singing in a private karaoke room with two friends (Thanks Ava and Dana.) It's my friend Chad's birthday today and somehow I got him to share his homemade dinner with me the other day (Thanks Chad and Jess!)

Today I signed up for Skype. Want to friend me? I'm not giving out my name to just anybody but I dig this thing. It's a cool little invention. I especially like that you can do a free group chat. I think it helps build friendships. I'm not the best at keeping in communication with people so hopefully this will be another way to keep me at it.

I'm so sorry to post such a pathetic, mindless, .... whatever the f*** this is. In all honesty I've been an emotional whack job the last couple days. No idea why. I keep saying it out loud so I won't get too caught up in it and don't take anything too seriously. Honestly the one thing that really seemed to help and lift spirits was taking a Bikram class. I'm going to try and keep at that for awhile and see if it continues to help. Hell, it's a lot cheaper than therapy!

As said, people are very much concerned about the glass in which beverages are served and prefer wine to be served accordingly depending upon the drink. Wine glasses are now designed in a very appealing way with different colors, designs and shapes and these are found inexpensive too.

Hey we all go through phases like this... I do hope that you find something workwise that not only pays the bills but that you enjoy as well.
I'll Skype with you anytime! I'll put my son on. he loves to talk through the computer...

Friends and wine are definitely cheaper than therapy... and more beneficial, too, in my book.
Hang in there!

When I drink bourbon (or Scotch) I like to get out the official, formal bourbon drinking glass. Anything else I'm willing to just drink from a Dixie Cup. I'm fancy like that.

I'm Jayman3768 on Skype. ;-)

BTW, i discovered the other day that you don't even have to take the foil off the top of the bottle, can it be made any easier?? Try it.

Well, you know me Gal. The way I drink wine, I just pull out the high-ball glass. Real wine glasses are waaaaaay to small. I mean, I'm a drinker -- not a sampler, LOL!

Glad to read you over here. I don't know why some blogs don't always update on my blogroll right away.

I didn't realize you had been blogging more often again.

Hang in there. Something is out there for you. Open your mind, be optimistic and WILL it to you.

Happy Wednesday!

Wine is supposed to breathe, hence the different shaped glasses for the different types of wine. Of course, if all you're after is the alcohol content...the bottle works just fine :)

Keep going to Bikram if it makes you happy, a job will come along soon enough.

Hey girl, Wine tastes great in any shaped glass! (What FW meant, was that we fill a glass - no matter what it was made for - so we don't have to go for seconds so fast!
I know you will find something that will fit your perfectly, and soon, in the most unlikely places.
I send good thoughts and wishes and hugs your way. :~D

Okay the RED WINE GLASSES thing is just odd. I said I already have amazing wine glasses and it's only a link to purchase more. You should have linked me to a servent that would walk to my kitchen for me. That's what would really help!

And thanks for the comments about the glasses everybody but I already have a lot of that gear. I know quite a bit about wine actually.

Doc- I would love to Skype with you and your kid. Is he as funny as you?

Kcinnova- Amen to that!

Furiousball- Um..I would LOVE to but I don't have a car. No way to get there.

Jay- I sent you a request on Skype. We can drink Bourbon in Dixie cups online together!

BabaHot- HA.Yeah, sometimes I don't bother with that either.

Farmer*swife- That's the way to do it lady! I'll try to be more positive in the search and see where that takes me. Thanks.

Reb- Yeah, I think I'm going to try and stick with it.

Dez- All the good thoughts and wishes are greatly appreciated!

Friends and red wine are a good stand-in for therapy as well.

I decided to start reconnecting with some of my friends as well - you being one of them.

Inarticulate Fumblings died but I've started up here. Looking forward to reading your posts again.

Cheers
