WWC- Set My Blog On Fire!

I missed several weeks of the WWC because I am a procrastinator. Every week Tuesday sneaks up on me and I'm supposed to have pictures up but I always find that I forgot to take them. This time I remembered to take my camera with me on the way out of the apartment. Our WWC host Tink gave us the words THREE and FIRE last week. This is the crap I came up with:

This is Brian's daily dilemma. He comes into the office and has to decide which of the THREE chairs in his cubicle will be his bum rest for the day.

These are our THREE office plants. I used to take care of the one on the left but it kept growing towards my co-worker so I gave him custody. I still say hello on occasion. No hard feelings.

FIRE Hydrant

I set the toilet on fire. I'm still not quite sure why I did that.

Oh yeah, that's right. I'm a bit of a pyro.

WWC Tuesday

I'm in a rush today but I wanted to hurry up and post my WWC hosted by Tink over at Pickled Beef. This weeks words were Rough, Smooth, Monkeyshine, and something else like monkeyshine that I don't remember. Here we go:
This is my rough face wash exfoliant that makes my skin lovely and smooth.
After exfoliating you apply this lotion. See, smooth skin!

This here is some art work located in the hallway of my building. I thought she would look better with a little facial hair so I made her this stash. I think my neighbors will enjoy her more now.

That's it. I'm off to catch some live music.

April Fools! WWC3

I'm not going to try to blog prank anyone today. I thought about it. I had some ideas but they might have been scary. So that was a no go. I'm a fan of a good joke but it's so easy for them to go horribly wrong. So no pranking from me today.

Earlier today I got a shocking text from my boyfriend. He spent twenty minutes giving CPR to a man on the train this morning while waiting for the paramedics to come. The guy was probably dead. Casey is a nursing student right now and was on his way to class. He and one other woman stayed with this guy and performed CPR until someone came. I really admire the hell out of him.

Today is Weekly Words Challenge hosted by Tink of Pickled Beef. This weeks words were Shiny and Era. I will admit I didn't try very hard this time but at least I played. This is a shiny platinum curl.
It is on a wig from another era. See the Marilyn Monroe style below.

These pictures are a little darker than they should be but you can click to see the enlarged version.

Here we have Jazz and Blues music covering the last century. See how nice the look in the shiny cases?

Toodles friends and freaks. Have a lovely harass others day!

WWC- Treasure and Junk

It's Weekly Words Challenge day and I'm shocked as hell that I have remembered to participate twice in a row! WWC is hosted by the kick-ass Tink of Pickled Beef. The words for this week were Treasure and Junk. These are my treasures. All of the items would be considered junk to anyone else but to me they hold a lot of memories of people and places that meant a lot to me throughout my life.

This is my junk box piled in a corner. Everything is mostly unused so I feel like I should do something with it and not throw it out. So that qualifies it as junk and not trash....right?

Treasures and junk all mixed in one. No, I don't wear all this crap at once.

I'm really liking the WWC. It's forcing me to understand my digital camera.
Back to work now.

First WWC

After months and months of meaning to participate I have finally decided to join in on the Weekly Word Challenge hosted by Tink of Pickled Beef. This weeks words are Foreign and Domestic.

This is my domestic wine from upstate NY with my Domestic view from my apt.

These are my foreign language refrigerator instructions. I went with the curve and a slight blur to reflect how I can only sort of read and understand them.

That was fun.

I was on the phone with my mother yesterday. She is the only person in the family that has made any sort of effort to understand our lineage. She did this for her side of the family and my father's. I'm very thankful to her for this because everyone in the family seems to be very confused about where we came from. So yesterday because of St. Patrick's Day I asked my mom, "I am a little bit Irish right?" She has concluded from her research that my brother and I are 5/8ths German, 1/8th Irish, 1/8th Scottish, and 1/8th English. There is probably more in smaller fractions. No wonder we don't really associate with anything in particular. It sounds like our ancestors just ran about breeding with whomever they pleased. I can respect that.
